How much money can I make renting my space out for photo and film shoots?

Many of our residential locations charge anywhere from $100-$300/hr for production projects. Some commercial spaces can rent for even more. Our team is here to help you land on a rate that fits your space and your goals.

How does insurance work?

Production companies are expected to carry a minimum of $1M in liability insurance for each shoot. You, as a host, should be named as an additional insured on their policy and should also be provided a Certification of Insurance prior to the shoot. This is the industry standard. If you're using our marketplace, you will have the opportunity to request this from the production company yourself prior to a booking. If our team is facilitating the booking, we'll make sure you are provided a Certificate of Insurance from our end.

Is my property protected if something gets damaged?

For any property damage that may occur, you are covered under our Terms of Service or, for larger bookings, a Location Agreement (which we facilitate) -- both state that the production company is responsible for returning your location back to its pre-shoot state. If preferred, you may require productions to sign a location agreement that you've drafted.

Can I sync my calendar from another booking platform like Airbnb?

Yes! If you have your space available on AVVAY as well as other websites, you can prevent guests from booking the same dates by syncing your AVVAY calendar with your other calendars.

How does the booking process work?

For any booking requests, you are in total control. You will be notified when a production is interested. From there, you'll have the opportunity to vet and review all of the details plus ask any questions. If everything makes sense for you, our platform and team help facilitate the booking.

How do I get paid?

All payments are processed and distributed either via Stripe™, our payment processor, or by check.

If you'd like to be listed on our marketplace, you’ll need to create an account with Stripe™ through our site (or link your existing account), which we make quick and easy. After that, you’ll be able to start accepting payments immediately.

What are the AVVAY fees?

It’s totally free to list. We don’t make money until we bring you bookings. For marketplace bookings, we take a 15% commission. For bookings handled by our team, the commission amount may vary.
